This tropical vine grows to about 6-8’ in height with
handsome lobed leaves and a tendril. The fruit is oblong and cucumber-shaped
with a rather rough exterior. When young, the fruit is green and contains white
seeds. After maturity the fruit turns orange-yellow with red seeds. Used for
cooking and also in medicine. The fruit is used as a vegetable and is beloved
