Lawn Care

Do you have dandelions in your lawn?

Dandelions are one of the most common weeds that homeowners deal with in the spring.  The seeds are easily carried by the wind and then germinate in different areas of your lawn.  To control dandelions apply Jonathan Green Weed & Feed Lawn Fertilizer.  Weed & Feed will eliminate even large mature dandelions and over 250 other broadleaf and vining weeds.  If you have already fertilized this spring and still need weed control apply Jonathan Green Lawn Weed Control.  This product does not contain fertilizer and provides control for dandelions, clover, chickweed and over 200 weeds.  It is important that these products are applied to a damp lawn so that they stick to the weed surface.  Do not water or irrigate your lawn for 48 hours after applying.

Weeds will persist in soils with a lower pH level.  The optimum pH level for growing grass is between a 6.0 to 6.8.  Not sure what the pH level of your soil is?  Take a Soil pH Test today to determine if your soil pH needs to be corrected.  Apply Mag-I-Cal Fertilizer to balance your soil and release trapped nutrients in the soil.  Mag-I-Cal is a soluble form of calcium that is pelletized, easy to apply and is not dusty like lime.  It is much easier to apply than lime when a 22.5 pound bag is the equivalent of five bags of lime.  Mag-I-Cal can be used anywhere in your lawn even in the garden and can be applied in conjunction with any of our products.
