There’s always something growing at Gethsemane.

Easter lilies are here! These beautiful trumpet-shaped flowers symbolize the resurgence of spring.
💧 Likes humidity and prefers moist, but not soggy, soil
☀️ To keep the flowers from wilting, avoid placing them in direct sunlight
🌱 Will lean towards the sun so turn the pot every couple days to grow upright
🌸 Remove stamens to keep blooms clean and extend bloom time
‼️ ⚠️ ALL PARTS of lilies are poisonous to cats and dogs, so please keep away from curious pets

It’s seed starting time! Here are some tips for starting your seeds:
1. Use a seed starting soil. It’s a lighter mix made for optimal root growth.
2. Try a heat mat for consistent soil temperatures and seeds that need warm soil to germinate like tomatoes and peppers.
3. Make sure seeds remain moist at all times. You can use a dome or enclosure to keep humidity and moisture in.
4. Use a fan on your seeds to strengthen their stalks and mimic outdoor conditions. BUT keep an eye out so your seedlings don’t dry out.
5. Don’t put your starts out too early! I know we are eager to start our Spring gardens but waiting until it’s warm or else it will stunt their growth.

Seeds to Start in March:
Early March:Broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, eggplant, head lettuce, onions, parsley
Late March: Tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants #seedstartingtime #seedstarting #indoorseedstarting #seeds
