Who we are
Gethsemane Garden Center has proudly served Chicago’s gardening needs since 1977, when Regas Chefas and his son began selling Christmas trees out of a lot at Victoria and Clark St.
Nearly 50 years later, we are still family owned and operated and our knowledgeable staff is passionate about flora and dedicated to providing you with the highest quality plant material and customer service in Chicagoland.
Our goal is to make Gethsemane into a place for you to meet your neighbors, share ideas, and be inspired to personally create the perfect landscape for your home.
Thank you for visiting and letting us help your garden grow!
Our values
+ Providing excellent service
We strive to provide quality plant material, expert plant care advice, and the products you need to get it all done.
+ Supporting local business
We take the concept of buying locally to heart and are committed to supporting local, family-run farms and greenhouses–some of which grow solely for us.
+ Caring for our community
We are firmly committed to supporting our Edgewater and Andersonville communities. We do this every day by creating quality jobs for our local residents, through street beautification projects, and by hosting free holiday celebrations.
